New vacancies
at WRT
The Cornwall Rivers Project, an Objective One
initiative, has been extended for a further year.
The project is part financed by the European Agricultural
Guidance and Guarantee Fund of the European Union,
and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural

We are currently recruiting a number of key positions
for this project as follows:
Project
Officer
Applicants will be required to have a sound environmental
education, specialising in either fisheries, ecology,
or land use and catchment management. Practical
knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs would
also be a distinct advantage, along with good communication
and IT skills and the ability to work closely within
a small team. Salary in the range of £14-17,000
depending on experience.
Vocational
Training Officer
One new post exists for an officer to assist with
the Trust’s vocational training program. Duties
will include promotion of the courses, securing
and managing delegates, and delivering both classroom
and field based courses. IT skills, experience of
delivering training in the environmental sector,
and the ability to work both independently and within
a small team is essential. Salary in the range of
£14-17,000 depending on experience.
The Westcountry
Rivers Trust is an equal opportunities employer

a 6 week trial period. Officers will be required
to travel throughout Cornwall and provide their
own vehicle.

Cornwall Rivers
CD-ROM - an educational resource for all key stages
- now online
The Trust has
developed a CD-ROM, to be sent to schools around
the region that details not only the river but the
whole catchment, as well as learning activities
and games to be played either in the classroom or
in the field. Further details and ordering information
can be found on the Cornwall
Rivers Project website.

now available to view online at the CRP website
