Launch of the Blueprint for Water - Available from the 28th November 2006

As many of you are aware, there is an exciting development in the water sector of which the Association of Rivers Trusts has been a core member.
The Blueprint for Water is a coalition of leading environmental organisations representing some six million people. It calls on the Government to act now to give the water of England and Wales a future.
It comprises a ten point plan for government to act on the different key elements of water supply, water demand and looking after the water environment.
Other core partners include WWF, RSPB, Waterwise, NT, ACA, FACT, Salmon and Trout Assoc., WWF, Wildlife Trusts.

Job Vacancy for Senior Ecologist at Tamar Consulting
Tamar Consulting is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy providing a wide range of ecological and agricultural services to a broad client base, including local government and government agencies, private companies and conservation organisations. Tamar Consulting is the commercial arm of the Westcountry Rivers Trust.
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Ecologist to help our team build a UK wide business. You will have a relevant degree and at least 3 years experience in survey and EclA. Protected species licences are desirable. For the exceptional candidate, you will be fully supported in developing your own team, and we provide good opportunities for training. The post is full time and is based at our office in Launceston.
Salary range from £21,000 + contributory pension scheme
