RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Lynne is an FCCA qualified accountant, she has been Finance Director of Tamar Consulting for over two years.

Lynne trained with GEC-Marconi, following that, she joined the University of Plymouth as Head of Finance for their research and business income. Managing a team of 16 staff, she was one of a team of four senior managers responsible for leading the strategic development of the University’s commercial and business activity, and saw turnover increase from £3m to in excess of £8m per annum during her five years in this role.

Lynne has dealt with over £12m of ESF, £2.5m EAGGF and €2m Interreg funding and has had significant input into successful bids with the SW Regional Development Agency and Government Office South West among others.

She is experienced in maximising overhead recovery and minimising financial risk and has extensive experience of financial appraisal conducted during the lifetime and delivery of a project. She is experienced in reporting on a large diverse range of activities, performing at Board level, acting as a Company Secretary and explaining finance to non-finance colleagues.
