RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • River corridor surveys using standard methodologies such as HABSCORE for the river and riparian area.
  • Surveying for freshwater invertebrates as an assessment of water quality using all biotic indices such as BMWP, ASPT, MFBI coupled with the relation to habitat e.g. using RIVPACS.
  • Macrophyte surveying using a number of various methodologies.
  • Using tracks and signs to identify riparian mammals.
  • Physical surveys and mapping using GIS.
  • Creation of over 50 management plans aimed at reducing agricultural impacts on watercourses and encouraging biodiversity.
  • Plant ID and NVC surveying.

FARMER

Mixed farm of 660 acres. Main enterprise pedigree Channel Island dairy herd. 100 beef. 80 lambing ewes. 20 farrowing sows. 200 acres of Arable including wheat, barley, maize and lucerne. 70 acres of soft fruit and vegetable Pick Your Own. Livery Yard. Holiday Cottages.
