  • Surveying and assessment of commercial stocks and sea defence impacts. Population monitoring of Mussel beds (Morecombe) and Brown Shrimp (Norfolk).
  • Marine Biotope mapping using standard MNCR methodology and JNCC classifications.
  • Underwater videography, sidescan sonar and magnetometer work.
  • Interpretation of benthic data and mapping in Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.) to create 3-dimensional models of the seabed in Marine Nature Reserves and Special Areas of Conservation.
  • Marine and freshwater habitat surveys using spatial accuracy with GPS, and mapping using AutoCAD and GIS.
  • Fish Population studies using electro-fishing techniques, various netting techniques and trapping techniques in accordance with standard Environment Agency procedures.
  • Fish health checks for Section 30 of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975.
  • River corridor surveying and pond surveys using standard methodologies such as HABSCORE.
  • Surveying for freshwater invertebrates as an assessment of water quality using biotic indices such as BMWP and ASPT.
  • Boat-based biochemical water monitoring and ecology for proposed SAC area with Lamprey migratory populations.
  • Phase 1 & Phase 2 ecological impact assessments.
  • Aquatic chapter preparation for Environmental Impact Assessment.
  • Bat surveillance and sound analysis for ecological assessment of species and abundance.
